  • General Purpose/Summary of Job

    The Project Management Administrator is responsible for the overall coordination, tracking and execution of specific projects ensuring consistency with the department strategy, commitments and goals.  The individual will follow and enhance a project management framework to be consistently used throughout the department.


    The Project Management Administrator will manage and coordinate the “master” list of projects within the department, and will manage and provide many of the projects.  Where others will be managing sub-projects, the Project Management Administrator will provide guidance so that those projects will be managed in a consistent manner.  The individual will work closely with the managers of the 4 IT departmental areas (Network Infrastructure, Application Management, Application Development, and Architectural Services).


    The Project Management Administrator will help assess resource constraints based on the load of projects ongoing in the department, and will be a key input in resource allocation strategies based on the strategic goals of the department.  The individual will attempt to efficiently coordinate projects and resources to provide as much overlap as possible, coordinating resources with managers in the aforementioned IT departmental areas.


    The Project Manager will handle a significant amount of responsibility in communicating status of projects with both departmental resources as well as external stakeholders.  The individual will need to juggle many projects simultaneously.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    • Document and monitor IT departmental master project schedule at a high level
    • Provide project management administration for a variety of IT projects, facilitating the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
    • Manage resource allocation throughout the department, coordinating with IT area managers.
    • Provide historical tracking of projects completed, actual performance to budget
    • Assist in the monitoring of projects adhering to documentation and testing standards, be an integral part of insuring the SDLC is properly followed.
    • Assist when questions regarding scope and specifications arise, coordinating the relevant stakeholders for discussions.


    • Experience at managing multiple projects across various IT disciplines

    • B.S. degree- Technology Management or related field, or equivalent experience
    • Strong  experience with Microsoft Project as a management tool for Project Management
    • Experience at managing multiple projects simultaneously across various IT disciplines
