General Purpose/Summary of Job

The Security and Infrastructure Support Technician will be part a team responsible for providing all levels of hardware and software support on Access Control and CCTV systems across the company portfolio. With guidance from the Manager of Security Systems the technician will monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems pertaining to the operation of access control and CCTV system and the Energy management backbone network.  Provide on-site and remote support for all Access Control and CCTV system.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist, support, and troubleshoot all aspects of the Access Control system; Lenel, DVR, NVR, cameras, visitor management software.
  • Performs turnstile troubleshooting for security and mechanical issues 
  • Install/replace turnstiles components and card readers
  • Assist with programing and calibrating cameras
  • Assist with installing and configuring Cisco equipment for the security system and energy management network
  • Rack mount and interconnect security and network equipment
  • Perform routine troubleshooting, repair and maintenance procedures computer for hardware and software application
  • Install and maintain Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS)
  • Performs routine backups
  • Participation in rollouts / upgrades / migrations
  • Transporting desktop and network equipment
  • Knowledgeable in using the iPhone , iPad and Android devices
  • Develop and assist in composing system documentation
  • Assist with the building riser management
  • Travel to various New York City properties required
  • Participate in rotating after-hour on call responsibility
  • Troubleshoot and maintenance of the energy management backbone network


  • Hands on experience with security industry standards, access control, turnstiles
  • Excellent inter-personal, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with other technical resources in resolving issues
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while continually satisfying the needs of our end-users
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a team member
  • Composed demeanor, , positive attitude and customer-oriented approach
  • Ability to adapt to multiple and rapidly changing priorities and deadlines
  • Exercises good judgment and uses discretion
  • Ability to keep processes moving forward and take initiative as appropriate



  • Computer Electronic / Digital Electronics degree or certification preferred
  • Minimum of 2-4 years in a support related environment
